Think About Miscellaneous Business Collateral.
Business collateral includes everything you use in your business to help
you communicate persuasively to your customers and prospects: brochures,
flyers, newsletters, sales sheets, special reports, proposals,
e-books...and
more.
Here, you'll find a hodge-podge of select collateral samples, each designed
to accomplish a particular goal. The most important factor to consider
when you're producing business and marketing collateral is to let your
collateral follow your sales process.
For example, suppose most of your clients initiate your sales cycle by
way of your Web site. Qualified prospects, after browsing a while,
e-mail
you to request a brochure.
Keep these things in mind when you prepare both your Web content and your
brochure:
1. Since the Web is the first step in your sales cycle, use it to whet
your prospects' appetites and pre-qualify those who request your brochure.
Don't give the farm away, so to speak, on your Web site, or you'll have
nothing new to say in your brochure.
2. Create different content for your Web site and for your brochure. I
don't know how many times I've browsed someone's site and requested more
information only to be sent the same stuff I've already read.
When prospects read your collateral--no matter what form--and ask for
more information, give them new or in-depth content instead of a tired
rehash of what they've read already.
Fees for Marketing Collateral
As with all service fees, fees for marketing collateral vary depending on how
much work I need to do. All marketing collateral projects begin
with an initial consultation fee than runs between $300 and $1,000, which includes (naturally)
consultations, as well as initial research, studying your existing
materials, reviewing your questionnaire answers and preparing an
additional questionnaire, if needed.
On average, you can expect to pay between $150 and $300 per page for copy
only. Design fees will be quoted separately after a review of the
scope of your project.
